Gloucester Heritage URC

The Gloucester Heritage Urban Regeneration Company - uniquely the only urban regeneration company in the UK to have the word ‘Heritage’ in its name - has been responsible for a substantial programme of renewal and regeneration within the city of Gloucester since its inception in February 2004.

GHURC’s mission is to bring life back to the many historic areas of Gloucester and to create a new and prosperous city for the 21st Century.

In the seven years since its formation, GHURC has successfully attracted millions of pounds of investment, and in a report by consultants, was praised as being the most effective delivery vehicle for regeneration in the South West of England.
