When ARRK Europe needed to simplify an existing website, and integrate new services with the very different character of their recruitment operation, it was a perfect opportunity to take a fresh look at the site.
Understanding and clarification
Gloucestershire-based ARRK marketing manager Marc Bouvier takes up the story: We looked at various digital agencies from scratch, with a preference for companies in the immediate vicinity. Whoever we appointed had to quickly understand the business, simplify our website, get up to speed rapidly and handle routine website administration duties with minimal hand-holding.
Responsive from the start

'While developing the website, they presented various homepage proposals. I remember feeling that the initial ideas didn't quite grab the readers' attention as I'd hoped. When we pointed this out, iconnet listened with characteristic care and devised a brilliant revision - the current homepage with its subsidiary microsites reached through five graphic "doors". In fairness, with ARRK having to be so many different things to customers, the challenge was always going to be tough; it's to iconnet's credit that they responded so professionally.'
The new website is performing well
'The new website went live in November 2013,' says Bouvier, 'and we've monitored its performance ever since. Organic search results and relevant traffic volumes are already up and are improving - aided by iconnet's proactive approach to incremental improvements. On the qualitative side, the response to the new site has been positive too. Our staff like it and have commented favourably on the new clarity and its compatibility with mobile devices. I particularly welcomed the content management system that makes site updates very easy.'
